Register Now for 2010 Mahoning Valley Safety Conference & Expo

YOUNGSTOWN - Ohio employers are encouraged to register for the upcoming Mahoning Valley Safety Conference and Expo being held Oct. 15, 2010, at the Mahoning County Career & Technical Center in Canfield, Ohio. The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC), the Mahoning Valley Safety Council, National Safety Council – Northern Ohio Chapter, Manufacturing Advocacy & Growth Network (MAGNET), L. Calvin Jones & Company, and the Mahoning County Career & Technical Center sponsor the conference.

The safety conference will provide employers with information to help them control and manage their workers’ compensation costs. It features sessions on the latest advances in occupational safety and health to prevent work-related accidents and injuries. The expo will feature more than 35 exhibitors, including safety service providers, safety equipment suppliers and area health-care providers.

To register, log on to ohiobwc.com, go to the Safety Services page and click on the banner at the bottom. Advanced registration ends Oct. 8. However, employers can register up to and on the day of the event. The registration fee is $25, which includes workshops, class materials, a continental breakfast, and sandwich buffet lunch.

NOTE: Mahoning Valley Safety Council and National Safety Council members can earn one regular safety council meeting credit for attending. For members of other safety councils, attendance at this event qualifies for one external training credit toward the BWC Safety Council Rebate Program.
