IT secures BWC against possible cyber attack

If you've not already heard, a bug called “Heartbleed” has recently hit the Internet, impacting more than half a million websites. Although there's only been one known or published major attack to this point, Internet security experts predict it won't be long before hackers start using this bug to attack websites, particularly with all the recent publicity.

Data security is always a high priority at BWC. While many websites have been hit hard by the new bug, our Information Technology division has run scans on all of our Web servers, and we're pleased to announce that bwc.ohio.gov is NOT vulnerable to this bug.
