Physicians can receive free Continuing Medical Education credits

Qualified BWC-certified physicians including MD's and DO's have until June 30, 2001 to earn up to 4.0 Continuing Medical Education credits by viewing an educational CD-ROM and completing a questionnaire.

BWC recently distributed this instructional CD-ROM, Managed Care and Treatment Guidelines, to a select group of BWC-certified physicians. This provider training is a valuable educational tool providing physicians with up-to-date information on managing workers' comp claims while allowing flexibility to learn about BWC programs affecting them.

The Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) has designated this an educational activity for continuing medical education credits for MD's and DO's. Credits can be earned by simply viewing the CD and answering the CME Post-Test Questionnaire/Evaluation and returning to OSMA through June 30, 2001.

Copies of the CD-ROM can be obtained from BWC's Forms and Publications Dept. by calling 1-800-OHIOBWC, and following the options.
