Application for Deductible Program (U-148)

The Deductible Program allows employers to control their costs while promoting workplace safety. In this program, employers who want to lower their premium, agree to take on more risk in the form of a deductible.

The Deductible Program can help employers lower their premiums by offering an upfront premium discount when an employer takes on the risk of a per claim deductible. The program encourages employers to focus on safety efforts to reduce injuries. When claim costs are kept low, this program is financially beneficial for those who participate. However, if claim costs are not appropriately controlled, the deductible can exceed premium savings.
