Rating adjustment history

This service offering allows you to view any adjustments made to your experience modifier. Additionally, you can download and view a list events that led to a particular adjustment. Below you'll find some additional information, including definitions to help you better use this service offering.

For rating years prior to July 1, 2009. the previously calculated experience modifier (EM) and the current EM, if applicable, will display. If we have made any adjustments, you'll see the history of the adjustment at the bottom of the screen. For rating years 2009 and beyond, you'll also see information about whether or not you're participating in a rating plan and/or program, and the resulting discount associated with each one. The table at the bottom of the screen will show each time we've re-rated the policy If you're enrolled in any type of group-rating plan and we've re-rated the group, the download will only show events related to your individual policy.

Definitions for the adjustment list download

  • Policy # - BWC-assigned number to identify your policy
  • Group # - Number we use to identify the industry group to which the employer belongs
  • Policy period - Reporting period for which you are viewing calculations
  • Calculation date - Month, day and year we adjusted the policy
  • EM - Experience modifier for the selected policy period
  • EM calculation text - Data used for the calculation of the EM displayed above
  • Re-rate event - Description of the event included in the adjustment
  • Claim number - BWC-assigned number used to identify and track an injured worker's injury
  • Manual - Industry classification number assigned to that injured worker based on their job duties
  • Old value - Value before the re-rate event occurred
  • New value - Value after the re-rate event occurred
  • Effective date - Month, day and year, within the rating period, the event is affecting
  • Transaction date - Month, day and year the event took place
