Highlights - November release

BWC continues to work on elevating the level of customer service provided through our Web site. Our monthly releases include everything from behind-the-scenes functionality improvements to brand new service offerings. Here are some of the highlights of the November release.

Claim parties’ contact info – Throughout the claims process, BWC communicates with all claim parties regularly. This service offering allows all parties to a claim to look up contact information for each other, so they can communicate better among themselves. Contact information for the injured worker, injured worker’s representative, employer, physician of record and others is conveniently located on one screen.

Once you get used to this new service offering, we will begin to eliminate contact information duplicated in existing service offerings. These include, Authorized representative info, Providers attached to claim and Employer demographics. We've tenatively scheduled this for the January release.

To access Claim parties' contact info, click Injured workers, Medical providers or Ohio employers. Then, click Claim info, Claim parties’ contact info.

Quick pay confirmation page change –We've updated the verbiage on Quick pay confirmation pages to acknowledge that you've made a payment, but that it is not confirmed until the payment clears the bank.

Change in provider security – A change in security designation allows the physician of record or a treating physician to view claim documents, even if the provider is no longer active in the claim.

To access Claim documents, click Injured workers, Medical providers or Ohio employers. Then, click Claim info, Claim documents.

Access to C-9 documents – This security change allows all provider types, even if he or she is not the physician of record, to have access only to Physician's Request for Medical Service or Recommendation for Additional Conditions for Industrial Injury or Occupational Disease (C-9s) under Claim documents.

Access to Claim notes – This change allows physicians of record associated with a claim to access the existing Claim notes service offering.

To access Claim notes, click Injured workers, Medical providers or Ohio employers. Then, click Claim info, Notes info.

Due to the holidays, there will not be a December release. The January release is scheduled for Jan. 19.
