The 2016 Ohio Workers' Compensation Medical & Health Symposium is a free educational opportunity for Ohio's health-care providers. Focusing on pain and neuromusculoskeletal management, the two-day symposium features leading national and state experts. It is being held March 10 and 11, in conjunction with BWC's annual Ohio Safety Congress & Expo.

The two-day, annual symposium offers nationally-known specialists in pain management, medical ethics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, alternative medicine, radiology, neurology and orthopedic surgery. By attending you will learn more about:

  • Opioid and non-opioid prescribing guidelines;
  • Challenges of managing addiction;
  • Therapeutic advancements in the practice of pain management;
  • Complexity of urinary drug testing;
  • Multi-disciplinary coordination of care plan;
  • Proper use of imaging in patient care;
  • Development and control of occupationally-related knee injuries;
  • Ethical and special considerations in pain management.
