OhioBWC - Provider - Service:  (Group/Individual provider relationship admin) - Details

Group/Individual provider relationship admin

To ensure privacy and online security, medical providers must have an OHID account and be a physician of record (POR) provider type to access claim information for a specific injured worker. This service offering makes that process easier for POR types associated with group practices.

Group/Individual provider relationship admin gives POR provider types with OHID accounts the ability to delegate or revoke their OHID account privileges to a group provider type (provider type 12). This will be especially helpful to provider groups with multiple POR provider types. Why? Because once each POR provider type delegates OHID account privileges to a group, any person logged on under that group provider number will be able to access the same information as the POR provider type.
Note: POR provider types may delegate their OHID account privileges only to group provider types (provider type 12). They may not delegate OHID account privileges to any other provider types.

To delegate or revoke (associate or disassociate) your OHID account privileges to a group provider, you must establish your OHID account under your individual (servicing) provider number which must be a POR provider type. POR provider types are:

  • Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.);
  • Dentist (D.D.S.);
  • Mechanotherapist/Doctor of Mechanotherapy;
  • Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.);
  • Medical Doctor (M.D.);
  • Podiatrist (DPM);
  • Psychologist.

POR provider types may delegate their OHID account privileges only to group provider types (provider type 12). They may not delegate to any other provider types.

You must be logged on with your OHID account to use this service offering. If you are logged on as a POR provider type, you may delegate or revoke a group provider from your OHID account. If you are logged on as a group provider, you may only revoke an individual POR provider from your OHID account. Note: Delegating or revoking group providers on this website only affects OHID account privileges here. Providers should continue to contact BWC's provider relations department for all enrollment or certification issues.
