OhioBWC - Common:  Shadya Yazback

Chief of Enterprise Services

Shadya Yazback was named chief in July 2016. She's led the agency through a successful transition to a new claims and policy management system, and now works with the IT division and project governance function to improve services to customers and staff.

Yazback previously served at BWC as associate general counsel and kept very busy in this position from 2010 to 2014 with San Allen litigation, as well as agency rules such as Destination: Excellence and prospective billing.

Law is actually Yazback's second career; she spent seven years as an economic analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland before becoming an attorney. As a lawyer, in addition to her first tenure at BWC, she worked at Bricker and Eckler in Columbus as a public finance attorney, and most recently worked for the Ohio School Boards Association as deputy director of legal services.

She earned her bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Toledo, and then earned a master's of public policy focusing on economic development and quantitative analysis from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Her law degree is from Case Western Reserve University.
