Claim reserve predictions allows you to see the most current reserve predictions broken down weekly for claims reserved under Micro Insurance Reserving Analysis (MIRA II), monthly for claims reserved by the Actuarial Claims Estimation System (ACES) system, and medical and indemnity costs for all claims assigned to a specific policy. You will download the information as an Excel spreadsheet.

Here are some definitions that will help you use the report.

• Claim - BWC-assigned number for this claim
• Benefit type - Identifies whether the claim is a medical only (MO) or a lost time (LT)
• Total medical paid - Authorized risk medical payments as of the effective date
• Total indemnity paid - Authorized risk compensation payments as of the effective date
• Total reserve - Sum of authorized reserves as of the effective date
• Total cost of claim - Sum of total medical paid, indemnity paid, and reserve columns
• Most recent prediction date - most recent date the MIRA or ACES system predicted the reserve. MIRA predicts reserves weekly, usually on Sundays, and ACES predicts on the last day of every month.
